OTHER GREAT SELF GUIDED TOURS

CHARLES RIVER
From Medfield to South Natick
A 10.2 mile paddle - approx 4 hrs
One of the most loveliest parts of the river above South Natick Dam, offering a large bird population including heron and owls, many turtles as well. Large meadows in Medfield and Millis give way to wooded banks and smaller meadows in Dover and Sherborn. Land on the north side at Rock Narrows is owned by the trustees of the Reservation. In Natick the river boarders the Mass Audubon Society's Broadmoor Sanctuary. The river meanders in the large meadow between Ma Rt 109 and Ma Rt 27, making wind a factor.

It is a great time, bring a lunch and snack and a water bottle or 2.
It is a favorite for local paddlers.
