Monday "OPENING DAY" 62 degrees dry but cloudy. Was a great day for hunting.

AS OF the 5 O'clock news on Channel 5 -News cast on Monday 11/27/06 the  DEER COUNT = 63

The State Biologists will be here at VFW Parking lot (across the street) Mon, Tues and Sat the first week!! The shop will also be checking in these 3 days. Taking biological data for the good of the Deer herd. We are pleased that the VFW stepped up and granted the State F&W team again this year the use the 3+ acre parking lot. The parking can be limited on the Street at times so having it in the parking lot across the Street poses no hazards and keeps the traffic on Milford St flowing at a normal pace during these busy days.
The Div of F&W, Fin & Feather and most of all the Hunters want to "THANK the VFW Again" for their ongoing support!
Watch your LOCAL NEWS! (Channel 3,4, 5, 7, Fox 25, 56 and CNN) The Check-In will be well Publicized this year through out the days on Mon and Tues.

PRIMITIVE SEASON Dec 12 - Dec 31     Total Deer during season = 113 count

WE HOPED YOU LOOKED AROUND WHEN CHECKING IN A DEER, FOR YOU MAY HAVE  FOUND SOME ITEM (S) THAT YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR. YOU WILL FIND OUR PRICES ARE VERY COMPETITIVE. WE WILL TRY OUR BEST TO MATCH PRICES ON MAIL ORDER CATALOG HOUSES AND BIG BOX STORE (+ THEIR REGULAR FREIGHT CHARGES), PROVIDING IT IS AN IDENTICAL ITEM AND IT IS AVAILABLE TO US.

WE DON'T MAKE ANY $ ON CHECKING IN DEER. WE HOPE THAT YOU WILL PURCHASE SOME THING FROM US AT THAT TIME!

We hope the State Officials will soon change the ruling on charging the hunter a small fee for checking in deer. It has been brought to their attention, most likely what will happen is the hunter, just like buying a doe tag from F&W, the hunter will also pay a fee to the checking Station to check in a harvested deer. This will help the small businesses to afford to check in deer and may also, bring more check in stations to our District.

DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT WHAT'S ON SALE!

THANK YOU!
Jeff LeClaire, Store Manager
